How To Start A Beauty Blog And Make Money

Unedited Transcript

[00:00:00] Hello. And welcome back to channel two. I’m going to show you step by step how to start a beauty blog. So be sure to like subscribe and ring the bell, and this video or any other video on the shelf helps you out. So basically, what we’re going to do today is I’m going to give you an example of what a beauty blog is.

[00:00:14] I will show you how to pick a niche because beauty isn’t really a niche. It’s just an idea or a topic. And then why you should niche down in the beginning. First, I’m going to help you pick a platform and a domain name. We’re going to talk about that in just a moment. Next, we are going to go through the process of installing WordPress.

[00:00:29] We’re going to talk a little bit about what WordPress is. First, we’re going to install a WordPress theme. Then we’re going to make sure that we make these significant changes. If you don’t make these changes on your account, you can run into trouble with getting traffic and potentially making money. After that, we’re going to talk about writing and how to start right.

[00:00:46] And the best way to write so that you can actually make some money. And then, we’re going to talk about different ways to make money with your website or with your blog and why you should share it on social media. And then also make sure that you continue to write and how much you should write before you start thinking about other avenues.

[00:01:02] And then again, make sure you click that first link in the description. To get started. So let’s go ahead and get right into it. What is a beauty blog? Let’s look at an example here. A beauty blog essentially talks about different beauty topics. Now, when we say beauty blog, it’s a very high-level, top-level thing, and you need to know that you need to niche down absolutely.

[00:01:25] For example, think about all of the different avenues when you say. It could be makeup, skin, hair, nails, all sorts of stuff. So when you’re first getting started, and you have a teeny tiny blog, like you will, with zero blog posts, you need to find an avenue in niche down. So, for example, pick something that you’re interested in, maybe makeup or skin or hair, and to better illustrate this point, I’m going to log into a keyword research tool that helps me find different keywords.

[00:01:51] If I just type in beauty. You’re going to see it’s insanely competitive on a scale of zero to 100. 100 is very hard or impossible to rank for as a new blog or website. So if we just type in beauty, it’s 93, but if we type in makeup, you’re going to see it’s still going to be competitive, but not as bad as 93.

[00:02:11] So we type in. And it’s only a 65. So what you’d want to do is simply find a niche or a subtopic within the beauty and start creating that content. If we look at the matching terms, you’re going to see that there are some opportunities and avenues to make money potentially, but as you can see here, that’s why it’s so important to niche down.

[00:02:33] And I have that as a separate thing here, pick a niche and then niche down, and what you should probably even do too, is niche down even further. And to niche down even further, we can talk about different types of makeup brushes. So you can see there’s lots of opportunities, GAF makeup if you want it. I think to create content, Cardi B, no makeup.

[00:02:52] If you want it to, you could create an entire blog about Cardi B or some of the other popular celebrities out there and how they do their makeup. That’s going to be very good to start making some money. But as you can see here, make sure that you niche down, and we look at these matching terms.

[00:03:07] You’re going to see people are asking simple questions about Cardi B and her makeup and all of that stuff. So what I recommended in the very beginning niche down. Create verticals or create content in each of these subtopics, and you’ll grow much faster. I can tell you from experience that is the best way to go.

[00:03:25] After we niched down, we need to pick a platform and a domain name. Let’s quickly talk about it. A platform and a domain name is a platform, or web hosting is simply where you’re going to put your internet files. So what you’re going to do is you are going to rent hard drive space from a web hosting company.

[00:03:45] That company is going to be blue coast. The first link in the description will take you to Bluehost. So when you sign up for the first link in the description, you’ll actually get a free domain name. Now the domain name is this. Those people will refer to you as you are referred to your website as so if you look here, this is the domain name, IPS Y ypsi.com.

[00:04:04] That’s the domain name. You’re going to get one for free when you click the first link in the description. So if we go back here, over here, you’re going to click the link in the description. Get the domain name. And actually, I’m going to walk you through the process right now of setting up your website with blue hopes.

[00:04:20] When you click that link, you’ll be taken to this website, where you’ll go ahead and click get started. What I recommend is to click the first one on the far left, the basic plan. If you’re just getting started with a website, as you can see, there are several options, but click that click select, and then move on here.

[00:04:34] You’re going to create a domain name. If you have one in mind, you’re going to type it in here. Like you see that I do. What I recommend is to try and find a domain name. It’s going to be related to your niche. Now, what I do is type in a domain name that I know is already taken. When it’s taken, you’re going to get this error.

[00:04:49] What you can then do is go back and try different domains. Now make sure again, you want to pick one that’s related to your name. Click next. And then you’re going to see a green box that says that it’s approved. The next step is simply to go through and enter your contact information. Make sure that you, when you scroll down here and make sure that you leave all of the settings on but again, entering your contact information, the settings right here, where it says domain privacy, leave all of this check.

[00:05:14] If you don’t leave a check, you’re going to get people reaching out to you. Spamming you, emailing you, trying to get you to sign up for. Web hosting. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to go ahead and sign up and then jump back to you once I sign on and move to the next step. All right. So I’ve signed up, and I’m going to go ahead and set up my website.

[00:05:31] Initially, just create a simple username and password. Make sure it meets the requirements. And then move on, make sure that you write it down to write it down in a safe spot so that you have it. And you remember it because it can be a pain to go ahead and get everything back. You will have to enter in some vital information, but just make sure that you write it down.

[00:05:50] It’s straightforward and effortless. Now, one thing that I do want to note is that this part is not sped up. This is actually real-time. And you can see that you’ll go from absolutely nothing to a complete website in less than probably 10 minutes. And once you click submit, you’re going to move on to the next step, where you get to log in. So here is where you’re actually going to start creating your WordPress website.

[00:06:11] Now, the great thing is Bluehost really does everything for you. And it’s straightforward. So again, I’m not speeding us up at all, and I want you to see what it really takes to create a web. So Bluehost is going to do a little bit of work in the background for you. And we’re just going actually to click on skip this step.

[00:06:28] This first one I clicked on. I started a blog, but just click, skip because we know what we’re doing for the next step. And I’m actually going to tell you what to do so that we can get up and running. So click get started right here on the left-hand side. And then move on, click, skip here and click skip. And then just pick the first one in the far left, make sure that you’re picking a free theme because they’ll charge you.

[00:06:52] They have both free and premium themes, which we’ll talk about in just a moment. So right now, it’s actually creating your WordPress website in just a few moments. You’re going to click on log in to WordPress on the right-hand side there. You’ll see it in just a second. And then we can actually start looking at some basic configurations.

[00:07:07] All right. So we click log. And now we actually have a WordPress website. What may need to happen is you may need to click refresh a few times to get it to work. But now we have our website. As you can see, what I’m going to do is I’m actually going to log in and delete a few plugins because right now, it has coming soon.

[00:07:26] And so if someone tried to get to your website at this moment, it’s going to say coming soon to them, even though we can see it, this is what your WordPress website looks like, but for everyone else outside of your network, it’s going to say coming soon. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to go down to plugins eventually, and we’re going to delete some of the plugins that we don’t need.

[00:07:44] Now, I talk a little bit about plugins later on, but plugins add additional features and functionality. We are going to deactivate the blue host as well. Other plugins that are already activated, and then we can go through and make the necessary changes, which I’ll cover in just a moment. So we’re going to deactivate them and then delete them.

[00:08:02] Now, you want to make sure that you only have the plugins that you’re using on your website. The more plugins you have, the slower your website will respond and function, and you’re going to lose out on ranking. So make sure you have a lean setup, very few plugins, and then move on. As you can see right now, I simply believe some stuff you don’t need.

[00:08:22] If you want to, you could keep them, but obviously, you don’t need this other stuff if you’re just getting started. What’s more important is the themes that we’re going to talk about in just a moment, as well as getting writing. So I’m just going to go ahead and delete those deactivate them. And then we’re actually going to start moving on to settings, which you see right here.

[00:08:39] Now that we have our web hosting set up with a free domain name. Now we need to go in and make a few changes, and we need to talk about our WordPress theme right now; as you saw, we have a default theme. So wI recommends that you go and spend some money and spend a few dollars to get a premium WordPress theme.

[00:08:55] Now, the importance of a WordPress theme is it’s actually going to change the way your website looks and feels. For example, if we go back to our website, This is a WordPress theme. You can, there are tons of themes out there, and you can actually change how your website looks and feels. You can use a website like a theme forest.

[00:09:11] If we go here, it’s themeforest.net, and you can find different WordPress themes that are actually going to be more aligned with your niche, and you’re aesthetic. For example, if we just type in beauty, You’re going to see. There are tons of beauty-based WordPress themes. I recommend that you buy one of these, and the process is straightforward.

[00:09:31] You’re going to find one that you like simply. You’re going to add it to your cart. You’re going to buy it. You’re going to download a zip drive to your computer. When you download that zip drive to your computer, you are going to open that zip tribe. And then within that zip drive is going to be a sip second.

[00:09:46] Folder. And you’re going to simply drag and drop that folder over to your WordPress website. So let me show you what that looks like. We’re going to go back over to my WordPress website. Your website probably looks something like this. You’re going to go down to appearance. You’re going to click on themes.

[00:10:02] When you click on themes, you’re going to click on, add new. When you click on add new, you’re going to click on upload theme, and then this is where you’re going to drag and drop. You can click this button here and upload your new theme. Click activate. And you’re going to have that brand new theme that you just purchased over here.

[00:10:17] So now that you have the theme installed, you need to make another change. This is very important to find success. You’re going to come down to settings. You’re going to click on general, and when you click on general, we’re going to change the site title. So we’re going to change it to something like the number one makeup site in the world or your favorite makeup.com.

[00:10:35] And then under the tagline. The only place to learn the latest makeup tips and tricks. And then you’re going to come down here, change the time zone to whatever your time zone is. And then click save all the way down here at the bottom. After that, we’re going to click on writing. Writing will be fine, but we will click on reading, and we need to make a significant change under reading.

[00:10:57] We’re going to click on your latest posts. Make sure. Highlighted or the radio button is active, and then also make sure down here is unchecked where it’s a search engine visibility. You want to make sure that search engines can pick up your website. If they can’t, you’re going to run into a world of problems.

[00:11:13] If Google can’t pick you up automatically. People aren’t going to be able to visit your site. You’re not going to make any money, and you’re going to be frustrated. So make sure you leave this unchecked click save. The final thing we want to do is go down to permalinks. Now, when it comes to permalinks right now, yours is set to plane.

[00:11:28] You want to change this to the post name? The reason. Is people are going to be searching for different topics. For example, people are going to be searching Cardi B. No make-up. And when we create content, our title is going to be Cardi B, no makeup. And we want that to show up in our posts’ names as well. So if we look over here and click on it, let’s see if we can find a blog post.

[00:11:49] We’re just going to click back. Okay. If we look at this, their blog post is called how to apply makeup. Now, when you search, if I type in how to apply makeup when you search how to apply me, Their post comes up at the top, simply because it is search engine optimized. So if we go back over here, you are going to do the same thing.

[00:12:10] And to do that, you need to make sure that the post’s name is set for your permalink city settings. And then click on save. Once you do that, you will start writing blog posts, and to write blog posts, make sure it’s a post and not a page. And to do that, you’re simply going to click on edit. And you are going to title your title based on the keywords that you find.

[00:12:32] For example, ours is going to be Cardi B, no makeup. I’m going to copy this like that. And I’m going to paste it right into our new blog post. So make sure that these are capitalized. Cardi B, I think the B is capitalized, no makeup. And we go from there. So a couple of questions that always pop up when it comes to right.

[00:12:51] First, people want to know how to get started. And the way I like to do it is I like to use a little 10-minute brainstorming session where I do who, what, when, where, why, how, and basically what I do with that as all write-down and I’ll just write down on a piece of paper on a Google doc who, what.

[00:13:08] When, where, why, and how, and I will ask questions based on the keyword. So who is Cardi B? What are people asking about? Or what does this mean? Cardi B has no makeup. When did this start? Where can I find more information? Things like that because it’s going to help you write your blog posts much faster.

[00:13:29] Just take about 10 minutes and answer these questions as much as possible. You can then use the. Questions that you found or the who, what, when, where, why, how to process you can use those as headings to your blog. Now you want to make sure that you have a lot of H twos and some irregular texts so that you can get discovered in a variety of ways.

[00:13:48] For example, If we go back over to our example here and the, even though it’s how to apply makeup, it’s potential. Potentially, this website could also rank for, start with moisturizer or apply primer. These are each two, and these are regular paragraph texts. You want to make sure that you have a combination of both.

[00:14:08] So if we go back over. You can see, you’re simply going to write blog posts, and then you’re going to click publish. And then, once you click publish, your website will be live. Your webpage will be live. And then now, let’s go back over here. We have started writing the next step. If we jump back over, here is how to make money.

[00:14:26] Now, there are several ways that you can actually make money with your website. If we go back to our page here, some websites will actually have ads placed right on their website, making money. That way, they make money when people click on the ads or when people actually watch them for a long enough time.

[00:14:40] And you can actually start with Google sense, so if we go to Google ads, AdSense. You can start here. This is an ad company that Google runs. Now, when you start with Google ads, since you will make very little money, I recommend that if you’re looking for ways to make money, you can place these on automatically, but you’re going to get paid pennies on the dollar.

[00:15:01] Eventually, once your blog starts to get a little bit of traffic, 1000 visitors, 5,000 visitors, 10,000 visitors, you can actually apply to different ad networks as media does. You can apply to Zohak. You can apply to AdThrive there’s a lot of them out there, but you need to have a certain amount of traffic before you can even apply.

[00:15:20] Don’t worry. There are other ways that you can make money with your blog. You can also become an affiliate for other products now. So, it simply means that you’re recommending or selling other people’s products and services. For example, if we go here, we type in beauty. Affiliate programs hit enter.

[00:15:38] You’re going to see that this website has put together a collection of over 90 for the programs that you could apply for. You apply for these. They approve of you. You can put links to different products right on your website. People click on these links, buy the product, and you make money. You can also sell physical products digital products.

[00:15:55] You can sell tutorials, you can sell all sorts of stuff, make sure that whatever you’re selling or promoting is congruent or in line with your content. For example, if I were running this website, I would sell obviously stuff regarding makeup. I wouldn’t sell basket weaving because these people aren’t interested in basket weaving.

[00:16:13] They’re interested in makeup. So if we go back over here just to clean this up, you want to make sure you are sharing your content on social. Now the reason being is it takes Google and Bing, and Yahoo. So do a little bit of time to pick up your website and start ranking it in different rankings to help boost it, to help speed that up.

[00:16:30] You want to try and get this out to people, either on different subreddits, Facebook groups, you can even start your own Facebook group and post your links there to get it out to people that might be interested in your niche. Also, know that your friends and family probably won’t be too interested in your blog, but that’s okay.

[00:16:47] Just continue to post it on social media. You will eventually start building an audience and getting traffic. Next, I think you should just write as much as possible. In my opinion, you should write at least 50 blog posts before you decide one way or another on the success or failure of your website.

[00:17:04] And you should either write every day or write every other day for your blog. The final step again is to click the first link in the description to go ahead and get started with your word press website today. Also, be sure to like subscribe, ring the bell, this video, or any other video on the channel helps you out.

[00:17:21] Thanks for watching. And we’ll see you.

How To Start A Movie Blog And Make Money

Unedited Transcript

Hello. And welcome back to the channel today. I’m going to show you step by step how to start a movie blog. So be sure to like subscribing to the belt. This video or any other video on the channel helps you out. So let’s go ahead and get right into it. So these are the steps that we’re going to take today to set up your first movie blog.

[00:00:15] We’re going to talk about what a movie blog is. We’re going to pick a genre, and I will talk about why that’s important. Then, we’re going to niche down, and then I will talk about why that’s important. Finally, we’re going to pick a platform and get a domain name. If you click the first link in the description, you can actually get a domain name for free for the first year.

[00:00:31] And we’ll talk about what a platform and a domain name are in this video. The next steps are to install WordPress. WordPress is the content management system that we’re going to use to help us right. Post faster. I will talk about installing WordPress themes and some important changes that you absolutely have to make when you first get started.

[00:00:50] And then, of course, we’re going to talk about getting started writing. And then, after that, we’re going to talk about different ways that you can make money, why it’s important that you need to share it on social media to start. Yeah. Write And then, of course, click the link in the description to get started.

[00:01:03] So first things first, what is a movie blog now? Obviously, a movie blog is where you write about movies in general. Now it’s imperative that when you write a blog and we’re going to get into picking a genre right now, it’s imperative that when you write a blog and you start a blog, you need to pick a niche and then niche down.

[00:01:20] In my opinion, the best way to pick a niche is to pick a genre. Now, there are all sorts of genres. But, as you know, within a movie blog, for example, you could do comedy, you can do comedy-drama, you can do horror, you can do all sorts of stuff, but when you’re first getting started, you want to pick a genre and then niche down.

[00:01:36] So one example that we could look at is, for example, you could do a movie review on something like cloudy with a chance of meatballs. This is an older movie, obviously, but it’s important that if you want your blog, your website to get discovered, eventually you have to niche all the way down and start talking about individual movies.

[00:01:55] What you could do is you could pick, for example, quality, cloudy, with a chance of meatballs. You could do a review. Now, I want to show you this keyword tool that I use to help me find different keywords for writing blog posts. Now, when I just searched cloudy with a chance of me, It comes up as hard.

[00:02:11] So it’s going to be difficult for a new website like yours to rank in Google. Suppose we open a matching term. We are going to see that there are very levels of difficulty, as you can see, what I’d recommend is looking for something like cloudy, with a chance of meatballs three, which is not going to be as difficult as simply just cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

[00:02:29] What you also do is talk about different subtopics. So niche down even further and talk about individual topics within the movie. Now, again, this is only important when you’re just getting started because you have no domain authority. So, nobody knows of your website. So it’s going to be hard to start ranking.

[00:02:47] If you can niche down and talk about cloudy with a chance of meatballs Mayer, maybe some features and benefits and some weird things about him. You’re going to be able to get discovered on Google and being in Yahoo, but you’re also going to start building domain authority. Then you can eventually start ranking for some more difficult words.

[00:03:03] Now, another thing that you could do is you could start a silo or a vertical and something that’s going to be off the beaten path, maybe movies. Weren’t theatrical releases, maybe something that went just straight to DVD. And I think you can do like older cult classics and talk about some of the benefits that way.

[00:03:19] But again, that’s going to be pretty competitive. So if we jump back over to our little slideshow here, this is where we’re at. We’re at niching down. And again, this is important. If you want to get discovered, the best way I can show you is cloudy with a chance of meatballs, very difficult. But if we do cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Not so difficult or mayor not so difficult, you write content, and you can get discovered.

[00:03:42]You can start there. Let’s go back over here. And then, to get started with your blog, you need a web hosting provider, you need a domain name, and you need to install WordPress now. So basically, what hosting is, is web hosting is where you’re going to rent out some hard drive space from a company, and they’re going to store your internet files.

[00:04:03] And when I say pick a platform, we’re going to use the first link in the description. So, as our platform, you can get started for 3 95 per month, and they actually give you a domain name for that. You absolutely need a domain name because that’s how people are going to refer you. So, for example, if we go back over to this right here, it says music, gateway.com.

[00:04:22] That’s the domain name. That’s how people are going to refer you. Now, when you get started, I recommend that you pick a domain name related to your genre or your niche or something that has to do with movies in general. Now, if you click the first link in the description, they’ll actually show you how to do it.

[00:04:37] Step-by-step picking your domain name and getting up and running. So go through the process. We’re right here. We’ll go through the process and install. WordPress. So what’s going to happen is you’re going to click that first link in the description. It’s going to walk you through the process of getting started with your web hosting in your domain name.

[00:04:54] The next thing they’re going to have you do is what’s called a one-click install where you’re going to install WordPress. Now, we want to install WordPress because it’s going to help us write blog posts faster. It’s going to change the way that our website looks. That’s called our theme, and it’s going to actually allow us to add different features and functionality that might be important to us later.

[00:05:14]Very important that you actually go through installing WordPress. It’s a straightforward process. Installing WordPress probably takes about 10 or 15 minutes at this point. And then let me show you a few things that you need to do. Once you install WordPress, you’re going to have a back-office that looks like this.

[00:05:28] Now, what we need to do is we need to do a few different things. One, we need to install a WordPress theme. Second, we need to make some changes to our account. These changes are vitally important for your success, and then we need to start writing. So what we need. Is, we need to install a WordPress theme. Now you’ll get a theme by default, but I recommend that you don’t use that.

[00:05:46] Use something that’s a little bit more custom, a little bit more premium. What you can do is you can actually use a WordPress theme, a premium theme that you find over on a website called ThemeForest. No, the cool thing with the in-force is they have a bunch of premium themes. So themes that cost you a bit more.

[00:06:01] That will actually be more relevant and actually add more features and functionality. So what we’re going to do is just going to type in movies, and there’s going to find some movie themes for WordPress. So what we’re going to do is you can spend. So I recommend that you get a premium theme.

[00:06:14] You don’t have. You don’t have to get a premium theme, but it just looks a little bit better. So what you would do, let’s say you use a theme forest, you would find a theme that you like buy it so you can click on this. So you’re going to buy it, which will get rid of that. Add to cart, buy it. You’re going to download a zip drive to yours.

[00:06:33] Your desktop or your computer, your local computer. The next step is to go over to appearance, go to themes. And we’re just going to add that new thing. We’re going to click on, add new. We’re going to then click on the upload theme. Then you’re going to drag that theme that you just downloaded to your computer.

[00:06:49] You’re going to drag it right here or click on choose file. You’re going to activate that theme. And then your website is going to look a little bit different. So to show you as an example, This is an example of a WordPress theme. See how it looks a little bit different. This is an example of a theme.

[00:07:04] There are tons of things out there. I recommend that you get a theme related to your niche, which was going to be movies. So after we install the WordPress theme, let’s make a few changes. Now we’re going to go down to settings. We’re going to go to general, and these are important. You want to make sure that you change your site title to something relevant to your niche.

[00:07:21] Create it, let’s say the comedy blog, and then your tagline is going to be the only place to find all news and information related to comedy. And then, the next thing you want to do is scroll down and make sure that you change the time zone to whatever your time zone is. Then, click on save the next step.

[00:07:36] After that is, we’re going to go to writing. We don’t need to do anything about writing or reading. We can leave those as is actually with reading very important. You want to make sure that you leave this unchecked. You see where it’s. Search engine visibility, leave it unchecked if you check this box. Your website will not be discovered on Google or Bing, or Yahoo.

[00:07:58] So make sure that you leave this unchecked. Also, make sure that you have your homepage displayed as your latest post. And then we make sure that you go down and save it. The other important thing you need to do is click on permalinks when you go into permalinks. Is that too plain by default? We want to make sure that we change this to the post name because this will help with search engine optimization.

[00:08:22] No, I’m sure you’ve heard that term before. Basically, if you haven’t, it helps your blog or your website get discovered by Google, Bing, Yahoo, duck, duck go. And the reason why this is important is people are going to be searching. Let’s go back over to. People are going to be searching for things like cloudy with a chance of meatballs dead.

[00:08:39] And so when you create a blog, For example, we are going to, let me copy this right here. When you create a blog post, you will title your blog, post cloudy with a chance of meatballs dead. And if we jump back over here to the post name, it’s going to say. Web hosting, rewind.com forward slash cloudy with a chance of meatballs, death.

[00:09:03] It’s going to help us get us discovered organically on the search engine. So once we have that, make sure that you click on save again, change that to post name, click save, and then start writing. Now, when you start writing, you’re going to want to click on posts, and I’ll make sure it is posts and not pages.

[00:09:18] We’re going to click on, add new, and then we are going to. Add the title, and her title will be the keyword that we found or our keyword research phase. Make sure that you add. You capitalize all of these so cloudy with a chance of meatballs. And then you answer the question. The best way to figure out what your customers want or what your viewers want is to look and see what other people are saying.

[00:09:39] Maybe you want to give an overview of. About the data, the quality of the chance to meet both. So you go ahead, write that out, and then you click publish. Once you do that, your website, your blog post are going to be live. Now, let me jump back over here to our thing here. Let’s click on present here. So we are in the start writing stage.

[00:10:02] We just started writing. What we need to do next is we need to talk about some ways to make money. Now, there are a few different ways to make money. You can make money by having ads placed on your website. Those are you can actually work with a company called Google AdSense to get started, and you’re going to get paid pennies on the dollar.

[00:10:19] It’s not going to be a lot of money at first, but as you continue to write and grow, you’re going to make more money. And as you get more page views, you can start working with other admins, like Ezoic and AdThrive, and media.net. So just keep writing at the beginning, right? 30, 40, 50 blog posts, and then start looking at different ways to monetize.

[00:10:39] And when you first get started, because Google and Yahoo, they don’t know who you are, and they don’t really know about your website. You must share on social media. So what you can do is find relevant Reddit subreddit so that you can find Facebook groups. You can share it with your friends and family, but don’t expect your friends and family to read your blog posts in the very beginning.

[00:10:57]But find different niche groups that are going to be interested in your topic. You can even start a Twitter account or Facebook, a Facebook page, and share it there. Now, when you first get started, you must write daily. You want to write probably 50 blog posts to get discovered.

[00:11:13] And so eventually, once you start getting discovered, you can pull back on that. The other ways that you can make money are that you can actually recommend different snacks and recommend Fandango. Or other affiliate programs that are related to the movie niche. Now that’s called affiliate marketing.

[00:11:29] You’re simply going to recommend or sell other people’s products and services. There are tons of affiliate programs out there. You could also recommend maybe movie chairs or, Projectors things that are gonna be relevant to the movie niche. So again, so those are some ways that you can make money.

[00:11:44] You can also sell some digital products. So, for example, if you have digital products related to movies, you can maybe create something like the 35 best-kept secrets. If you have a book, an ebook, you can sell that as well on your website. And that, as I mentioned, it’s essential that you write 50 blog posts.

[00:12:01] Once you write 50 blog posts, you can take a step back and analyze how well you did, but it’s essential that you get up and running writing today. So make sure to get started. The first thing you want to do is click the link in the description, go through the process, watch this video again if you need to, but this was a step-by-step guide on starting a movie blog.

[00:12:19] Be sure to like subscribe, ring the bell, this video, or any other video on the channel helps you out. Thanks for watching. And we’ll see you then.

How To Start A Sports Blog And Make Money

Unedited Transcript

[00:00:00] Hello. And welcome back to the channel today. I’m going to show you step-by-step how to start a sports blog. So be sure to like subscribe and ring the bell so that you’re notified when I upload a brand new video. All right. So let’s take a look at exactly what we’re going to cover today. First, we’re going to talk about what is a sports blog at a high level.

We’re going to talk about the steps required to getting started, which means pick it up. And then niche down niching down is going to be very important. And I’m going to show you why. And then we’re going to talk about picking a platform and getting a domain name and how you can do all of that. You can actually get a domain name for free.

I’ll tell you what a domain name is. And just a moment, you can get that for free. If you click the first link in the description, after that, we are going to install WordPress, which is the. Content management software, which I’ll tell you in just a moment, what that means and why that’s important for you.

We’re going to install a WordPress theme, and then you need to make these changes. So make sure that you watch and make the necessary changes, or else you’re going to run into some problems when creating content and finding success. And then we’re going to talk about some ways that you can make money.

Then why do you need to share on social [00:01:00] media early on? And then you’re going to want to write, write, write, write, write, of course, and then make sure that you click the links in the description to get started. So let’s go ahead and talk about what is a sports blog. Now, obviously, a sports blog is simple.

A blog where you cover sports topics could be any topic. It could be a variety of topics, but what you will want to do, which is going to be critical to your success early on, is you’re going to want to make sure that you pick a sport and then niche down. The reason why I say niche down is because if you create content on, let’s say, basketball, we’re going to type in basketball here, and you’re going to see it’s pretty competitive.

I have to spell basketball correctly, of course, but when you type in basketball, You can see you’re going to have to compete with Wikipedia. You’re gonna have to complete compete with ESPN, the Olympics, mba.com. So it is going to be very difficult for you to find success if you create content about basketball.

And so, when you’re starting your blog, you need to think about it in vertical. So the first vertical or the overall [00:02:00] niche will be sports, and then you have to think, okay, the sub-niche is probably the different types of sports. So, for example, Basketball’s a sub-niche, but then you had to think about the sub-niches within basketball, and you can do NBA, college basketball, and high school sports.

If that’s what you’re interested in, or you could even do like training and tutorials. And then, even within that, you have different niches that you want to get into. And I’m just going to show you exactly. A little bit about why it’s important to niche down: so I’m going to log into. It’s a paid tool.

You don’t need to use it. I like to use it to show you how easy or difficult something is. So I’m going to go over to keywords, and I’m just going to type in basketball. We saw that it was pretty competitive. So many people create content about basketball, many major players, but if I type in the basket, Hit enter.

You’re going to see it comes back as super hard. And basically, this is a sliding scale from zero to 100 about how difficult a keyword would be to rank. And [00:03:00], so that’s going to be pretty challenging for a brand new blog. So what you will want to do is you might want to talk about, let’s say, let’s say basketball skills.

So if we type in basketball skills, that is, you can see that it is a 10, it’s going to be much easier to rank for basketball skills. And so what it’s crucial that you niched out. And one thing you can do, if we go back here twice, we can use basketball, which we search just moments ago as our top-level, which can actually help us niche down.

So I’m just going to click back one more time here. And then what I’m going to do is I’m gonna click on matching. And these are going to give us a bunch of topics within the basketball niche. We could create an entire. Website about the three, four defense, if we wanted to or, box and one or something like that swaying or whatever it might be.

But as you can see, these are all different opportunities. And I recommend that you spend some time niching down and figure out what you want to talk about now, ultimately, [00:04:00] depending on how large you plan on making your blog, you could niche up and start competing for some of these more competitive keywords.

For example, if we look at. NCAA basketball. That’s really difficult to rank for, but Michigan basketball, a part of NCAA basketball, isn’t as difficult. And you could potentially create content that way. So first things first, you want to make sure that you niche down, you find your niche. Now, if we go back to our guide, we can see we pick a sport.

We niche down. The next step is to click the first link in the description: a domain name and web hosting. Now you will need a domain name and web hosting to start a blog. Web hosting is basically where you’re going to store your files. Or your web pages so that people can access your website from all over the world.

If you click the first link in the description, you can actually set up your domain name and web hosting. Excuse me. The web hosting is 3 95 per month. A domain name is free for the first year, and it’s a straightforward process. You go [00:05:00] through, sign up, and then they’re going to have you install WordPress now, WordPress.

And I’m just going to take you over here too. The back office of my blog. This is what WordPress looks like. WordPress is going to allow you to create blog posts faster. It’s search engine optimized so that you don’t have to do any of those extra things that other people will tell you that you need to do to focus on writing what you will do when you sign up for the white posting providers.

Is there going to have you do what’s called a one-click install? That’s going to have you press a little w you’re going to press it. It’s going to walk you through the steps of installing WordPress. WordPress itself is 100% free, but I recommend that you ultimately upgrade to something called a premium theme.

So what we’re going to do here is if we take a look at my website here, why posting rewind docs? This is a theme. This is the way the website looks and feels. You can change this and customize it to wherever you want it to look. But ultimately, what I recommend that you do is get it installed.

[00:06:00] And you’re going to have a back-office like this now that you have WordPress installed. So the first thing that I recommend is that you go over to a website like a theme, forest, and find a premium theme. So we’re going to go to theme four. We’re going to go to themeforest.net, and ThemeForest has a ton of premium themes that you can install and download on top of your WordPress website to make it look slightly different.

For example, let’s type in basketball because there might be a basketball theme that we could download install. Okay. So there isn’t a basketball. There we go. So we type in basketball and. They have different themes that are geared towards basketball. We could even do a sports theme, but you don’t have to download these.

You could also use a free site, like generate press. They have a free WordPress theme, but whatever it is, you buy it. For example, you’ll buy it. You’ll download it to your computer as a zip drive. And the next step, we’ll go back over to my website here. You will go to a parent. [00:07:00] You’re going to go to themes, and you are going to click on, add new.

When you click on add new, it will take you to this new page where you’re going to click on the upload theme. When you upload a theme, you will find the theme that you just downloaded from theme poorest or generate press, and then you will act. When you activate it, it’s going to change the way your website looks and feels.

And you’re going to have probably a few different options over here, but we’re not going to worry about that right now. What we want to do is we want to get up and running as quickly as possible. So once we have our theme installed, we need to make a few changes to our WordPress website to make sure that we have everything covered.

So what you want to do is go to settings. And you want to make sure that your site title is related to whatever it is, whatever your website’s about. For example, if you are doing sporting news, you want to change this to sporting news.com and add your tagline. The number one place to find all sporting news or all basketball news.

If we scroll down here, you want to make sure that you [00:08:00] change your time zone to whatever time zone you are local, and then click save underwriting. We don’t have to make any changes. So we’re going to scroll down under reading. Reading. This is very important, and this is what I was alluding to earlier.

Made sure that the search engine visibility is left. Unchecked. Do not check this. If you check this, your website will be hidden from Google, Yahoo, and Bing, and you won’t get any visitors or traffic, and you will have a tough time making money. So make sure you leave everything as is.

Click on permalinks. And then the other very important thing to do need to do is permalinks. Permalinks are set to plane. You want to make sure you change it to the post name. The reason being is when you create your blog posts, it’s going to show up at the end of your domain name. So, my domain name is web hosting.

rewind.com. The post name will be web hosting, rewind.com forward slash basketball skills for beginners. You want to dumb like them because it’s search [00:09:00] engine optimized. Very important. Would you mind changing it to post name, scroll down, and click save? The next step is to create a post. Now what you want to do when you’re blogging,g and you want to get, start with blogging.

You want to make sure that you’re doing posts. Don’t do page. No posts. When you go to posts, click on, add new, and make sure that you are using the keywords you found in your title. Remember, we found some keywords over here. We coulda,y, like Purdue basketball if we wanted to. That would be our title for our post name.

So we could do Purdue basketball, everything you need to know, for example. And then you’re simply just going to write out whatever content is related to your post. So again, we would do like Purdue. So we do Ohio state basketball and because school is starting soon. Will you do Ohio State basketball? Everything you need to know.

Okay. And when people search Ohio state basketball, This could [00:10:00] potentially show up in the search engine,s and people are going to be enticed to click on it because you are providing them everything they need to know for 2021, we’ll say, and then you’re simply going to write whatever content you find is relevant and then click publish.

Now we’ve talked about how to create a blog. We’ve talked about WordPress themes. Let’s talk about some ways to me—there are many ways to make money with your website. You can have an ad. You can work with something like Google AdSense. And when you work with Google ads, since they will actually automatically place ads in your blog posts.

So if I go over to Google AdSense, you can go through the process and sign up for Google AdSense, and they will automatically put it. Put ads on your account. Now, once your site grows large enough, you can actually move off of Google AdSense, but this is a good place to start. If you want to start making some money to use ad sense, you can also use something called affiliate marketing.

Now affiliate marketing is simply recommending or selling other people’s products and services. Now you have to think. [00:11:00] With your sports niche, you want to try and make sure that you find relevant things to whatever niche you are in. For example, we create content about the NCAA or Purdue basketball,l or Ohio state.

We want to go out and find programs that are relevant to that niche. So maybe there is an Ohio state affiliate program. Put in jerseys and t-shirts, and apparel and potentially make money. That way, what we can do is we’ll grab our affiliate links from, let’s say, share a sale, we’ll put it right in our content.

People will click on those links and buy the product, and we get paid a commission. You can also sell digital and physical products. Maybe you have a guide or a checklist to show people relevant. Basketballs. The best tips and tricks for eighth-graders, you have a book that you’ve just created for your niche.

You can sell those right in your blog as well. So there are many ways to make money right within your blog or website. If I go back over here to our steps, we have talked about the sports blog. We [00:12:00] picked the sport. We’ve niched down. We’ve talked about picking a platform we’ve installed WordPress.

We’ve installed our WordPress theme. We’ve made the necessary changes. Now you want to start writing, which we covered. First, you want to make sure that you create a blog post and add a blog page. After that, we talked about how to make money. Now it’s going to be important in the beginning that you share on social media. You can share your blog and within Facebook groups with permission.

On Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, really anywhere that you can get traffic because it’s going to take a while before Google and Bing and Yahoo discover your content. And then, the final step is to make sure that you are writing a lot in the very beginning. You’re going to be writing probably 30, 40, 50 blogs.

And you’re not going to see any results. So you must keep writing through those downtimes because eventually,y you’ll get picked up as long as you do keyword research properly. And then, make sure you click on the links in the description so that you can get started. That first link will help you get started installing WordPress and getting your domain name and web hosting, [00:13:00], which you absolutely need.

Suppose you are just getting started with your blog. If this video helped you out, be sure to like subscribe and ring the bell so that you’re notified when I upload a brand new video. Thanks for watching. And we’ll see you then.

How To Start A Political Blog

Unedited Transcript

[00:00:00] Hello, and welcome to the channel today. I’m going to show you step by step how to start a political blog. So if that’s something that you’re interested in, be sure to like subscribe and ring the bell so that you’re notified when I upload a brand new video. So basically, what we’re going to do today is we are going to go over.

Everything is required to start a blog. First, we’re going to talk about a political blog, the most important step when creating a blog, a political blog, I should say, how to pick a niche or a topic and then pick a platform, a domain name, and getting started. So make sure you check out the first link in the description because that’s what I will be basing this on when creating your first political blog.

So we go to the next steps here. We will install WordPress and install a WordPress theme, which we’ll cover in this entire video. And then the most important things you need to do. It would be best if you made a few changes first to get started. And then, of course, you want to start. After that, you are going to want to find ways to make money.

And we’ll talk about that. Share on social media, which is going to be important for you to get up and running. And then, of course, you’re going to want to write, write, write, write, write, and then finally, [00:01:00] you’re going to want, make sure you want to click the links in the description so that you can get started with your political blog fast.

So first things first, what is a political blog? A blog is simple. You’re just going to write on current events and topics. Those are relevant and important to the political landscape. It can be everything from the United States president. It can be too hot and trending topics. There is a lot of opportunities when it comes to a political blog.

And one of the things you’re going to want to make sure that you do, and this is going to be pretty important, is you’re going to want to make sure that you stay on top of trending topics. So if we look at Fox news here, which is basically another political blog, Fox News and CNN, and MSNBC. So in the United States, you know what I’m talking about, a lot of these blogs cover the same topics from opposite ends.

And that gets me to the most important thing. When you start a political blog, the most important thing is simply to pick a side and stay with it. This is going to be pretty controversial, but the more extreme you are, the better. If you look at something [00:02:00] like Fox news, they have a dedicated following because they’re extreme.

The blogs, the websites, and vlogs in the middle usually don’t do as well. But if you can take a side, regardless if you’re a Democrat or Republican or whatever you call it yourself, you want to make sure that you take a side and you stick with it. So as you can see, Fox News, as I mentioned, gets tons of views.

Every single day, because they are pretty extreme. And what you’re going to want to do is you’re going to want to be extreme. You’re going to want to pick a side and stay with it. Now that is, in my opinion, the most important thing the next step is to pick a niche, basically, in my opinion, is.

Either you’re going to be a Republican-Democrat or maybe other, but the two most common in the United States will be Democrat or Republican. And in my opinion, to get started to find success, you’re going to want to niche down. If we look at the CNN website, All of these at the top are different subcategories of political [00:03:00] blogs.

For example, you could focus on business. If we click on politics here, we’ll see that there are even little sub-niches within politics. For example, you could focus on president Biden. You could actually still focus on the former president Trump. You can focus on Congress.

What I’d recommend that you do is when you start a blog. Pick a niche, in this case, a sub-niche, and create content. For example, you could create an entire blog about the United States election, but whatever it is, create content, what you could do if you wanted to, and create a state-level blog. So instead of talking about these top-level things, you could create a blog just about the Illinois state of Illinois.

That’s going to be less competitive, but there will be fewer people looking for this information. Once again, whatever you decide, make sure that you pick a niche, pick a side, stay there. So after you pick a niche, you aren’t going to want to pick a platform. Now, in my opinion, you will want to start a WordPress website.

You want to start a WordPress website because it’s going to allow you to create content faster. After all, you are in a [00:04:00] political blog, and the political landscape changes frequently. So you are going to want to create a lot of content. And in my opinion, the best way to do it. It is to use something like Bluehost.

Now blue hosts will allow you to create web hosting. And then, you’re going to put your WordPress website on top of Bluehost, and you can click the first link in the description to get started with blue host. As you can see, you can start with as little as $3.95 per month. And what you’ll want to do is go through the process of getting a domain name.

And when you get a domain name, you’re going to want to make sure that the domain name is relevant to your blog. So if you are, let’s say, a Republican, they’re going to want to create a blog for conservatives. So the conservative blog for. Progressive. I know that’s an oxymoron or contradictory, but you get the idea.

So what I’d recommend that you do is go ahead and sign up with Bluehost. The link is in the description, and through the signup process, they’re going to allow you to pick a domain name. So now you can use a website like instant domain search, instant domain search. You can actually do this all through blue host as well.

You’ll be able to set up your [00:05:00] web hosting. They’ll give you a domain name for free for the first year, and then you can actually get up and running. But if we go over to instant domain search real quick instant domain generator, and what we can do is we can look at, let’s say we’ll say—political blog.

So you’re looking at it right now as if it’s in red, it means it’s not available. However, if we say for conservatives or cons, you can see it’s green. So you could actually buy this domain when you get your web hosting. And when you go through the process, they’re going to have you install WordPress.

It’s a one-click install. There’ll be a giant w button. You click on it, it’ll install WordPress right onto your web hosting. And then once that happens, you’re going to have a backend that looks kind of like this. And what you’ll want to do is you’ll want to go down to appearance. You’re going to want to go to themes, and then you’re going to want [00:06:00] to upload a new WordPress theme.

Now you’ll get many templates as examples, but what I recommend ultimately, that you do. I recommend that you go out and get a premium theme. A premium theme will allow you to get more features and benefits, and you can find a premium theme over on a website, like a theme forest. So we go to the theme forest.

They have a ton of WordPress things. We can even look for either a news theme. So if we type in news theme here, you’re going to see there are many newspaper themes. So you will basically click on the one you like, make sure that you go through and take a look at a few different ones, and click on the one you like.

You’ll download it to your computer once you pay for it. And it’ll come as a zip drive. When you go back over here to manage, you’re going to click on, add new. You’re going to click on it. Let’s see, you’re going to click on upload theme, and then you’re going to drag and drop. Or you can click on this button to upload the theme you just downloaded from ThemeForest.

And once you do that, it’s going to change the look and [00:07:00] feel of your website, the next step. And there are a few different steps that we need to take next. It is to gFirst, into settings, and there are a few things that you want to change in settings. And these are really important if you want to get discovered on Google.

So we’re going to go to general. I’m just going to run through this real quick. You’re going to want to make sure that you change the name, your site title. So this is my website. Why posting rewind.com. You’re going to want to change yours—the conservative blogger or the conservator conservators network.

And then, you want to add your tagline. So what your blog is about, because people will be able to see this when they’re searching for information, and then you want to go down and make sure that you change the time zone to your time. And then click Save. The next thing that you want to do is if you go down to writing, the writing is okay, we’re going to go down to reading, but then reading right here, this is very important.

It’s search engine visibility. Make sure that this is unchecked. Do not check this if you check it. You won’t be discovered by Google or [00:08:00] YouTube or any other search engines. And you will have a tough time getting discovered, and your website or blog will struggle after that. You click save.

The final thing you want to do is come down to permalinks, and you want to change it. The default is plain. Do you want to change this to the post name? The reason why is because you will write content based on keywords and keyword phrases and the head. Which is going to be the post name will be SEO or search engine optimized friendly so that you can get discovered by a search engine.

So now that we have all of that taken care of let’s go ahead and talk about how to create your first post. What you will want to do is go up to post. You’re going to want to create a piece of ad news or a brand new post, and you’re going to title your post, whatever the topic is about. So, for example, if we jump over to Fox News, they are talking about Como.

So what you’d want to do is you’d want to go over to the title and say, Como. I’ve got to spell his name right here. Let’s see. C U O M [00:09:00] O C U O. Como found guilty, Como accuser on founded, but you want to make sure that it’s based on keywords. Then you’re going to simply right now, the way is is structured, when you’re creating blog posts,, you want to have headings and subheadings and then paragraphs.

So if you were to create an overview of who Como is, we could say who Como is. You would maybe want to make this a heading. And what we’re going to do is we are going to click on this button here. We will change that to a heading, and then beneath that, we are going to add in text. So we could say Como is the.

Governor. I’m not sure if he’s the governor of New York or he’s, let’s say he’s the governor of New York, and then you’re going to add texts. That text is going to be relevant to whatever it is that you’re talking about. Next, you’re going to add him, add another subheading, and you’re going to do this over and over again until you [00:10:00] answer the question, what I recommend.

And I want to make sure that I cover this thoroughly what I recommend when you start writing. Are you going to need to put up a lot of blog posts to get discovered because there’s a lot of competition? There’s a lot of people out there writing about political stuff. And so you’re going to need to write maybe three, four, even five blog posts per day to get started.
